"Great customer service"

"My wife and I have/had been clients here for 30 plus years making our payments like clockwork. My son was involved in an accident recently where his truck was totaled and that is where the debacle began. I was transferred around to numerous people, none of whom knew there were other State Farm reps contacting me, a complete left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing mess, and when they made their offer to me on what they would give us I knew I was in trouble and being taken advantage of. I refused their offer, which by the way is not based on any normal car resources like NADA, JD Power, Black Book etc., but on supposed comps they pull that are low ball. After not hearing back from anyone for weeks they tell us that the offer is final and that there will not be any additional money. Just for the record they are giving less than NADA trade in value on a super clean F150. The whole "like a good neighbor" marketing should be scrapped, nobody would want a neighbor who treats you like this after MANY years of being a loyal customer. I am in the car business and we get a bad reputation with the public, but I can assure you I would not and do not treat people this way or I would be out of a job with no clients. It's just a real shame that this is how they treat their customers."

They're constantly raising my rates for no reason, they've gotten in fights in the office when I was there, interrupted me, and abruptly hung up the phone and said something immature when I've tried to ask about problems/raised rates. "Horrible service. Had been with them for over two years even transferred my husband to their office because they said they would give us discounts. Turned out the past two years they never put him as married and he hadn’t been receiving any discounts even in the email they said they already did. Changed my name for over two years, called multiple times to ask for an update. Still never did. We eventually switched to a different agent who immediately changed all we requested within 5 minutes. Would not recommend doing business with them ever."

"We have been with this company since Mark was about six. We received very personal service from his dad. Once Perry called us to say our 16 year old son was sitting in his office. Seems son had gotten his 1st speeding ticket and went straight to McGriff because he was afraid to tell us what happened. He begged Perry to be the one to tell us and Perry agreed. Ever fatherly, Perry began his call to relating stories about his boys and their own mischief. Of course we were upset about the ticket (which son did pay) but we loved the fact that he knew Perry McGriff would help out a client, even one who was 16. It is yet to determine if Mark will follow the family atmosphere on which his father built his business."

"Got a notice policy will be cancelled, no representative I called was able to locate a reason as to why. . Had to figure out and place the calls directly with corporate myself, wasted my time, went to GEICO for better service and price, never looked back."
